Environmental Field Technician (Field Based)

Job description

ERM is hiring an Environmental Field Technician to support environmental monitoring surveys in Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Canada. This is a part time (12 hours per day in shifts), limited-term role with a duration of 8 months, extendable . Training will be provided for client-specific and site-specific safety, security, sampling and inspection procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES: · Support environmental surveys such as wildlife, fisheries/aquatic resources, archeological, vegetation and wetland surveys. · Promote safety awareness and the safe performance of our work. · Adhere to data management and quality standards. · Contribute to a positive, professional environment. SCHEDULE: · Shift lengths will vary according to project. Shifts may occur over weekends and holidays and may include night shifts. · Daily hours will vary depending on the site location and work to be completed; to a maximum of 12-hour days. · Workdays are scheduled as far in advance as possible; however, flexibility is required due to potential last-minute changes.
