Your Opportunity We are looking for an Intermediate Geoscientist with the ability to join our Burnaby, British Columbia office (would consider another Stantec Office that fits with our business model). This individual would be joining a global team of specialists that reduce the impacts of geohazards, save lives, develop resilient infrastructure, and help protect communities. The Geohazards and Geomorphology team at Stantec: More information about the Geohazards and Geomorphology team at Stantec can be found at Geohazards (stantec.com) . - Develops geomorphological and geohazard models through terrain mapping and terrain assessments - Models hillslope and channel processes and sediment transport to inform design for mitigating risk - Assesses and analyzes pre- and post-wildfire debris flows and debris hazards and risk assessments. Integrates models into engineering design, management, mitigation and monitoring solutions - Landslide inventory mapping, probability of failure assessments, and quantitative hazard and risk analyses - Field mapping and investigations of hillslope, fluvial, coastal, karst, and tectonic geomorphology and geohazards - Interprets and analyzes aerial, satelli...
