Job description

The Groundsperson supports the crew by performing from the ground. The Groundsperson observes all safety rules to guarantee a clean and safe work zone. MUST have valid CDL. Essential Functions: This is a full-time position. Specific hours will be assigned by your supervisor. The Groundsperson may be required to work overtime and/or weekends. - Always follow and help enforce safe practice and rules. - Works from the ground to keep work area clear of debris using handsaws, pole saws and pruners, hand pruners, loppers, and gasoline-powered equipment to cut brush and trees. - Define staging areas. - Setting up and breaking down material, tools, and equipment as required. - Prepare and feed brush into woodchipper. - Loading and unloading trucks with logs, stumps, brush, and debris - Operating various trucks and equipment as assigned. - Perform basic maintenance service on trucks and equipment; keep trucks and other assigned equipment in neat and orderly fashion; report the need for major repairs to truck and equipment. - Tying knots, rope breaks, and speed lines according to industry standard. - Safeguard employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area. - Flag traffic...
