Overview The AME Mechanic possesses a high degree of expertise in the performance of rigging explosive link-ages/devices applicable to seats and canopy, flow checks on egress systems, replacement, fitting and rigging of aircraft canopy, canopy drive and canopy locking mechanisms and provides technical assistance, guidance and instruction to employees in the AME Mechanic classification and to others through-out the aviation team as required. May be required to perform Leadman duties when designated and authorized. The AME Mechanic is directly accountable to Maintenance Control, Maintenance Supervisor with over-sight from Work Center Leads. Description: % of Time Spent · Responsible for all egress system on and off equipment maintenance on Adversary F-5 aircraft. - Conduct on-the-job training and maintenance of personnel seat/cockpit safety checkout train-ing records and will be experienced and qualified in the removal and replacement of ejection seats and explosive devices. - Removes, transports, inspects, repairs and reinstalls ejection seats.
