Department: 85114 Wake Forest University Health Sciences - Academic Animal Resource Program: Clarkson Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Five 8 hour days/40 hours per week; some weekend and holiday work required Pay Range: $19.80 - $29.70 JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs general care and maintenance of laboratory animals and facilities in a research and teaching environment. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED equivalent with previous lab animal experience. LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION: Valid applicable state driver's license. American Association of Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) certification at the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician level preferred. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Capable of performing duties as specified for Laboratory Animal Technician Trainee (LATT) position. 2. Safely handles and restrains all animal species while maintaining proper identification and location. 3. Assembles caging equipment in order to provide comfortable, safe housing for all species. 4.
