1st Tubewinder Operator ( Mon. - Thur.) 7am-5:30pm Department: Packaging Operations: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: LaGrange, GA: Description: - Set up and operate the line in order to produce product that meets quality specifications, maintain the machine systems, make necessary adjustments, and troubleshoot common machine/quality problems. Key Responsibilities: · Change core knives when necessary. - Set up and complete initial thread up of machine, i.e knife set up, change paper - Monitor process, correct jams and other problems that occur. - Prepare quality check sheet; ability to read a tape measure. - Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of line to GMP standards by removing paper and other trash, removing dust and debris, etc. - Shut down equipment at end of shift, daily and weekends. - Troubleshoot minor quality and machine problems; communicate more complex problems to maintenance. - Understand functions of glue system; monitor in order to prevent spills. - Complete changeovers as required in order to meet production demands. - Any other duties as requested or required. - Operate forklift to replenish rolls of core paper if needed. - Transport full cartons of cores to...
