Job description

*Preference is for candidates to reside in West Michigan Summary: Under limited supervision and with significant independent judgment inspects insured properties to evaluate physical and operational conditions and promote safety programs by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Inspect physical properties and operations (such as buildings, industrial operations, vehicles, and products or services provided) to evaluate physical conditions and operational, safety practices, and hazardous situations. 2. Observe business operations and management practices to determine safety issues and hazards affecting insurance premiums and losses. 3. Prepare written report of findings and recommendations for correction of unsafe conditions. 4. Develops recommendations to correct uncontrolled exposures, including acceptable alternatives. 5. Consult with insureds to control losses and improve safety. a.
