POSITION SUMMARY: Performs mammographic examinations including special procedure examinations under the direction of the department supervisor and radiologist. Education: Experience: - High School graduate or equivalent. - Graduate of an approved radiologic technology program. - Preference given to those with mammography and bone density experience. License/Certification/Registration: - Demonstrates the ability to function as a team member and to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with patients, staff members and physicians. - Registered with the ARRT-Mammography in good standing and maintain compliance with continuing education requirements. - Maintains ACR requirements of 200 mammograms every two years and 15 CEC in mammography every three years. - Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews BLS every two years. - Registered with the ARRT in Bone Density preferred. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Receives general supervision from the Supervisor, Breast Center.
