Construction Estimator Mid-level Department: Estimating: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Long Beach: Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 / year Description: Be an instrumental part of an estimating team for cost estimates for bidding of heavy civil, transit, and transportation construction projects ranging from $5 million to $250 million+ including all essential elements and steps necessary for a successful bid; receiving and reviewing bid documents; assuming responsibilities for estimate development; assembly of Bid Packages to assisting with final Bid submission. Opportunity exists for transition to field role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: - Working as part of a Team as part of a coordinated effort - Organization and review of plans and specifications - Quantity Take-offs from plans utilizing various means, such as scaling, Excel and Agtek and Bluebeam Take-off programs.
