A Medical Assistant performs both clinical and administrative tasks to support healthcare operations, ensuring efficient patient care and office management. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Duties: Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures. Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight. Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician. Collect and prepare laboratory specimens or perform basic lab tests. Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical instruments and work areas. Administrative Duties: Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow in the office. Maintain and update patient records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Answer phones and provide information to patients regarding services and procedures.
