Practical Nurse (Outpatient): Maxwell Air Force Base has a long and distinguished heritage from the earliest days of aviation in the United States. Since its establishment over a hundred years ago, the base has provided a significant and growing presence in central Alabama and greatly contributes to the United States' National Defense. Responsibilities: As a Practical Nurse you will: - Obtain all vital signs such as: blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respirations, pain level, height, weight, measurement of head circumference, and length; and perform behavioral health screenings. - Provide individualized nursing care to patients based upon the physician’s medical care plan, the nursing assessment, and the physical, mental, and emotional needs of the patient. - Obtain intravenous (IV) access, and prepare medications and immunizations for administr...
