Ensuring that the kitchen, appliances, glassware, plates, flatware, service ware, and misc. items are maintained, cleaned, organized and kept in their proper location. The kitchen Steward will maintain a proper level of clean inventory according to the sanitation code. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Responsible for cleanliness and storage of food service equipment. Training of new dish washers on cleaning & property standards of the dish machine, kitchen, etc. Oversee and give direction of workload to other dishwashers in the kitchen. Keep dish machine clean and serviced, with proper amounts of chemicals for optimum cleanliness of dishes.
