This role is for a journalist with sharp instincts and curiosity — someone who sees trends before they break, asks tough questions and turns quick hits into impactful, deeply reported stories that drive understanding and accountability. What you’ll do: The base salary range is $50,000 to $65,000 per year. - Break news on major statewide issues and follow it with enterprise reporting that reveals what readers truly need to know. - Use data, documents and public records to uncover patterns, inequities and systemic problems. - Translate complex topics into clear, engaging and accessible journalism. - Work across formats — written stories, visuals, social media, video and more — to reach audiences where they are. - Deliver reporting that is timely, authoritative and built for a digital audience.
