Description Classification: Non-Exempt: Reports To: Grounds Maintenance Supervisor: Summary/Objective: - Maintain the grounds under the direction of the Grounds Supervisor. Will use various methods and pieces of equipment to maintain grounds. Will be responsible to work alone and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision. Essential Functions: - Operate and maintain a wide variety of commercial grade power equipment. - Ability to safely operate and maintain snow removal equipment inclusive of snow shovels, snow blowers, snowplows, and salt spreaders. - Ability to obtain and maintain a Private Applicators License, as well as maintain an accurate record keeping manual. - Learn and apply a variety of pesticide and fertilizer programs. Correctly formulating pesticide, weed, and fertilizer applications for maximum results while mitigating potential environmental impacts. - Learn, operate, and maintain a variety of different types of irrigation systems. - Learn how to properly plant and maintain a variety of shrubs, trees and turf. - Identify, pull and eradicate undesirable weeds. - Maintain waterways at the Visitor Center/Help maintain fish at Visitor Center. - Learning the proper...
