Job description

The Flex Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct care to the residents and supervision over the day to day activities of the nursing staff and nursing aides in accordance with current federal and state standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the Smith Care Center including Plymouth Harbor policies and procedures. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Assist in the planning, development, organization, implementation, evaluation, and direction of assigned shifts’ activities. 2. Meet with administration, medical and nursing staff, and related departments in planning department services, programs, and activities. 3. Assist in development, implementation, and maintenance of nursing objectives and standards. 4. Assist in development, implementation, and coordination of departmental policies and procedures, resident care plans, nursing procedure manuals, and job descriptions. 5. Ensure that departmental personnel, residents, and visitors follow established policies and procedures at all times. 6.
