Electrical Design Technician - MEP

Overview Kimley-Horn is looking for an Experienced Civil CAD Operator or Designer to join our MEP team in St. Pete, FL (Florida). This is not a remote position. Responsibilities: - Implement and manage drafting and plan preparation standards for complex electrical systems for multiple project types such as office, multifamily, mixed-use, retail, & hospitality projects. - Develop technical drawings and plans - Requires minimal supervision to perform day to day tasks - Has knowledge of engineering principles and suggests design changes - May supervise and train REVIT and CAD drafters - Coordinates work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control - Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards Qualifications: - High School Degree (Preferred Associates Degree (or higher) with emphasis on Drafting and Design Technology from an accredited technical institution or college in engineering - 3+ years of electrical experience in multiple project types such as office, hospitality, retail, mixed use, highrise design, multifamily, and some solar design - Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn - Ability to wo...
