MC: Patient Safety and Reliabi- (Full Time, Days) - Job Summary: The Regulatory Specialist improves patient safety and quality. Is actively involved in performing patient care audits and tracers to ensure that the organization is in a constant state of regulatory readiness for any accrediting and/or licensing agency; processes documentation practices, provides just-in-time training with staff and physicians, and serves as a resource to maximize performance and compliance with hospital policy and best practices; serves as the unit-based subject matter expert for regulatory regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience: Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required (in progress acceptable with quarterly progress reports). Minimum two years of experience as a Clinical Nurse in a acute care facility required. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of regulatory standards and demonstrated ability to interpret standards with respect to hospital operations. Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations required.
