Title: SECURITY OFFICER III State Role Title: Security Guards: Hiring Range: $42,938 - $59,524: Pay Band: 3: Agency: Dept Behavioral Health/Develop: Location: Eastern State Hospital: Agency Website: Jobs.virginia.gov: Recruitment Type: General Public - G Job Duties: To provide a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors at ESH by handling difficult individuals (i.e. physically control, confine and restrain) during difficult situations. Maintain adequate coverage in order for the Public Safety Department to fulfill its mission statement at Eastern State Hospital. Each officer is sworn by the Court of Williamsburg/James City County and is fully empowered to make an arrest for any State and Local violation. This position is considered essential personnel and would be required to work in the event of an emergency, pandemic, or facility need. All ESH positions are required to work different shifts to include nights, weekends and holidays, and/or overtime as requested.
