Job description

The pharmacist dispenses prescribed drugs in a healthcare facility environment, transfers prescriptions, provides drug information in collaboration to other healthcare professionals, performs medication order entry into the computer, monitors patient profiles for appropriate medication use oversees the work of the support staff and documents any relevant information. Performs clinical duties including medication therapy management and clinical monitoring with a goal of positive clinical patient outcomes. The position is expected to meet state certifications, requires familiarity with standards concepts, practices, and procedures, and relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Experience: Retail experience and working knowledge of 340B and Patient Assistance programs. - TECHNICAL TASKS - Reviews and interprets patient prescriptions and profiles in order to prevent overdoses, incompatibilities, and toxicity and to ensure the provision of high quality pharmacy services and patient care.
