Registered Nurse - North 3 (Med/Surg/Telemetry) Per Diem POSITION SUMMARY: Works under the direction of the Nurse Manager. Functions as a Team Leader. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all nursing activities related directly or indirectly to patient care for a group of patients within a specific clinical area. Evaluate patient’s physical and psychosocial needs, administers direct patient care, and provides education for the patient/significant other. Responsible for all nursing personnel assigned to the Team. Teaches and/or demonstrates nursing care procedures. Maintains a professional profile. Promotes cooperation, a positive attitude, and creates a safe environment for both patients and staff. Responsible for knowing and adhering to established hospital policies and procedures, including all aspects of safety.
