Overview The New York Institute of Technology (NYIT), Department of Anatomy, invites applications for a full-time, 12-month faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor at the College of Osteopathic Medicine located on the Long Island (Old Westbury, NY) campus. The Department of Anatomy includes nine full-time faculty members and three postdoctoral researchers with active research programs in paleontology, evolution, development, functional morphology, biomechanics, and neurosensory anatomy. The successful applicant will contribute to the department’s teaching, research, mentoring, and service missions. Departmental facilities include a Visualization Center equipped with a micro-CT scanner and CT processing software; a fresh tissue laboratory for histology and staining; an embryology laboratory for in vivo experiments; a microscopy facility with confocal microscopes; human and animal gait laboratories for collecting kinematic, kinetic, energetic, and EMG data; and the Center for Biomedical Innovation supporting robotics, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and 3D printing.
