Description Job Purpose: The Non-Ferrous Division Scale Operator is responsible for performing a variety of duties including purchasing various incoming, non-ferrous metals brought in by customers, sorting and putting non-ferrous metals into various commodity boxes and maintaining a clean safe work area for customers and employees . Duties and Responsibilities: - Obtains required information from customers for all transactions, completes required purchasing and shipping documents, and conducts daily reconciliations. - Collect paperwork, weights, and load information, and record into database. - Reviews all documents to ensure regulatory and company requirements are met. - Heavy data entry and clerical - Provide exceptional customer service through greeting and directing all customers upon entry of the landfill. - Verify incoming loads are safe and do not contain unacceptable material. - Ensure that customers and employees conduct all business in a safe manner and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). - Provide general upkeep of the scale house. - Occasionally answers the phone. - Work in a team environment and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and commun...
