Job Summary: Under direct supervision and under the lead work direction of the Program Coordinators, student assistants will focus on peer-to-peer support, helping undergraduate students, particularly first-year students, build the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed for academic success. Responsibilities: Under direct supervision of the Director, and under the lead work direction of the Program Coordinators, duties include but not limited to: Mentor Training and Development - Attend mandatory training sessions and development workshops to gain effective mentoring techniques. - Collaborate with other mentors to share strategies and resources. - Maintain appropriate documentation of student interactions and program participation as required. Mentoring Assistance: Schedule and assist in conducting weekly one-on-one meetings with assigned Mentees to: - Review assignments, deadlines, and time management strategies. - Provide guidance on academic skills and resources. - Set and monitor goals to ensure steady progress.
