This position will support ColumbiaDoctors, one of the largest multi-specialty practices in the Northeast. ColumbiaDoctors’ practices comprise an experienced group of more than 2,800 physicians, surgeons, dentists, and nurses, offering more than 240 specialties and subspecialties. Job Summary: The Central Service Technician is a skilled professional responsible for decontamination, cleaning, assembly, packaging, sterilization and distribution of surgical instruments and the manual cleaning, high level disinfection and distribution of endoscopes in an ambulatory setting. Instrument and endoscope reprocessing are performed according to the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM), American National Standards Institute (ANSI), and the Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses (AORN) current standards.
