POSITION SUMMARY: Through direct accountability to the Supervisor, Quality and Patient Safety and in collaboration with the Trauma Program Coordinator and Trauma Program Medical Director, the Clinical Performance Registered Nurse Trauma is responsible for completion of concurrent surveillance of identified trauma patient medical records to identify opportunities within the Trauma Program in conjunction with the Trauma Performance Improvement & Patient Safety (PIPS) Coordinator. Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), minimum requirement Experience: A minimum of 3 years Emergency Department experience as a Registered Nurse required Experience with spreadsheet and database software required Experience with process improvement modalities and teams preferred Experience in the implementation and administration of clinical quality databases preferred - Experience in healthcare quality or performance improvement preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Proven analytical skills with the ability to organize, maintain, process, and analyze large amounts of information and complex issues.
