Supervisor (Cast-House)

Job description

Position Summary: This position is responsible for day-to-day operations in Barberton’s Cast House. The role: provides administrative support to department and works to ensure BU metric goals are met (Safety, Quality, Production) accomplishes manufacturing results by: communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages the activities of assigned employees. Conducts training, recommends adjustments to pay, completes performance appraisals, initiates timely corrective action, as appropriate (including attendance/tardiness). Essential Duties: - Ensures the safety of all personnel working in or around department on all shifts - Places a high priority on coaching employees by establishing suitable goals, action plans and timelines. - Delegates and provide ongoing guidance and support to the employees as they complete their action plans. - Act as a role model and mentor for direction and development of employees - Ensure employees have appropriate and realistic job goals by providing ongoing feedback...
