At NorthBay Health, The Specialty Clinic Liaison serves as the primary point of contact between specialty clinics, referring providers, and the NorthBay Specialty Pharmacy. This role is responsible for coordinating patient referrals to NB Specialty Pharmacy, facilitating communication, supporting clinic operations, and ensuring a seamless patient experience. The liaison works to strengthen provider relationships, improve referral processes, and support patient access to specialty medications and specialty pharmacy services. PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: Patient Access & Financial Coordination: to reduce therapy delays and abandonment rates. Identify specialty medication referrals in real time to capture the RXs preventing leakage Conduct benefits investigation. Obtain prior authorizations (PAs) and submit clinical documentation. Coordinate appeals for denials. Enroll patients in copay assistance programs and foundation grants. Provide cost transparency to providers and patients. Track time-to-therapy metrics.
