Job description

Location: Silver Bay, MN Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Scheduler at their Northshore Mining Company facility located in Silver Bay, MN. The Maintenance Scheduler analyzes data found in computerized maintenance work orders and organizes it into daily, weekly, 8-Week, and long term maintenance schedules. The scheduler evaluates the planned work backlog and preventive maintenance tasks, and translates them in to detailed work schedules that meet plant operational priorities and resource constraints. The scheduler position requires a high degree of computer literacy coupled with leadership experience in heavy industry. Summary of Responsibilities: - Develop, document, and publish work schedules using various scheduling tools, including a computerized maintenance management system (Ellipse) Microsoft project, excel etc. - Using Ellipse and other software tools, analyze data to organize maintenance work in a culture of continuous improvement. - Facilitate maintenance scheduling interactions with managers, engineers, and planners. - Lead weekly maintenance scheduling meeting. - Ensure work schedules adhere to company policies and practices. - Other duties as...
