About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a detail‑oriented and service‑focused Securities Operations associate to support UIT Operations through daily trade support functions and operational oversight. The Unit Investment Trust (UIT) Operations team manages all exception‑based processes related to Unit Investment Trusts. UITs are pooled investment vehicles composed of a fixed portfolio of securities—such as stocks, bonds, or other assets—selected by a sponsor and deposited into the trust. Key characteristics include: - Fixed, unmanaged portfolios: Once established, the holdings generally remain unchanged for the life of the trust. - Daily pricing: UITs are priced at the end of each business day based on the market value of the underlying securities, cash positions, and any assets or liabilities held by the trust. - Defined termination date: Each trust has a scheduled maturity date. When a UIT reaches maturity or terminates, investors have several options: Roll over to the next series of the same trust Roll over into a different trust Receive cash proceeds for their units Elect an in‑kind distribution of the underlying securities prior to maturity The successful candidate will demons...
