REPORTS TO: Mechanical Project Lead FLSA STATUS: Hourly, Non-exempt: SUPERVISES: N/A: Benefits: Eligible for paid safe and sick leave per state requirements Our Kaiser Aluminum Spokane Washington aluminum casting, plating and rolling plant has several opportunities for students in Mechanical Engineering programs to intern with us. Student interns will report to a mentor who will assign projects which include: - Hourly wage $24.00 - Not eligible for company provided benefits - Eligible for paid family and medical leave per state requirements What you will work on: Only local candidates will be considered. Housing will not be provided - Assist with management of ongoing department projects. - Participate in project related construction and outage activities. - Execute individual engineering projects as assigned. - Participate in the development of project scopes, cost estimates, and schedules. - Assist with and develop specifications in support of projects. - Prepare and organize project documentation (manuals, PM's, spare parts, correspondence, drawings, drawing lists, material listings, etc.). - Other tasks as assigned by departmental mentor.
