Job description

The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit is a collaborative multi agency covert response to tackle serious and organised crime across the North West Region. The Regional Prison Counter Corruption Team are a small team of investigators that work closely with the Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) to identify and disrupt corruption linked to the North-West prison estate. Using both overt and covert investigative tactics, the team develop intelligence and manage investigations into corruption. Good communication skills and stakeholder management will be a key element for this role. The NWROCU leads the policing response across the region posed by serious and organised crime in Cumbria, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cheshire, Greater Manchester and North Wales. The NWROCU provides the vital link from national capabilities and expertise to local policing and knowledge, enabling the North West region to deliver the Government’s serious and organised Crime strategy and to protect communities from harm.
