Job Title: General Laborer - Construction Job Summary: The general laborer in construction performs various physical tasks to aid the progress of construction projects. This role requires physical stamina, strength, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment under the supervision of skilled tradespeople, site managers, and other construction professionals. Qualifications: Site Preparation: - Clearing and preparing construction sites by removing debris, materials, and obstructions. - Setting up and taking down temporary structures, such as scaffolding and barriers. - Digging trenches, holes, and foundations as required. Material Handling: - Loading and unloading construction materials from trucks. - Distributing materials to the appropriate locations on-site. - Storing and organizing materials and tools. Equipment Operation: - Operating hand and power tools, such as jackhammers, drills, and saws. - Operating light machinery, such as forklifts, backhoes, and skid steers, if certified.
