JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the direction, leadership and provision of high quality, cost effective patient care in the Women’s Center via responsible management of human and fiscal resources. Coordinates the provision of age specific patient care that is consistent with the policies, procedures and standards of professional nursing practice and consistent with the policies and procedures in place at NTMC. Serves as Maternal Program Manager and Neonatal Program Manager responsible for program oversight and quality improvement initiatives, as described in addendums to this job description. Consults with staff, physicians and the Nurse Executive on nursing concerns and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure that patient needs are met. Participates in performance improvement activities within the department. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: - Responsible for the cost-effective management of human resources in the department.
