POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Registered Technologist performs a variety of mammographic procedures at a technical level. The Registered Technologist is a team player with a commitment to excellent patient care skills to perform high quality imaging in Women’s Health and is responsible for performing a variety of patient exams, good working knowledge of anatomy and physiology, working knowledge of equipment and ability to troubleshoot problems, and adherence to hospital and departmental policies. The Registered Technologist is responsible to maintain competency and follow standards, as outlined by the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). QUALIFICATIONS: •Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO) required. •Membership in the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) and/or the Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (OAMRT) preferred. •Completed Mammography I and Mammography II courses preferred, or in progress. •Completed Certificate in Breast Imaging - Screening (CBIS) certification preferred, or in progress. •Rece...
