Job description

We are searching for a Perfusionist -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide perfusion services to support cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) during congenital heart surgery, ECMO support, VAD support and cell saver procedures in an age-appropriate manner. Job Duties & Responsibilities: - Performs direct patient care by operating the heart lung machine, ECMO, VAD, cell saver, and other support systems. - Sets up CPB circuits and other support systems according to case preferences and age appropriateness 100% of the time. - Completes the pre-pump checklist prior to the start of CPB 100% of the time. - Administer blood and medications before and during CPB per protocol and as directed by the surgeon/anesthesiologist 100% of the time. - Maintains pre-established range for mean arterial pressures by using appropriate interventions such as the use of Isoflurane via a vaporizer and/or the use of medications as directed by the surgeon or anesthesiologist 100% of the time. - Maintains appropriate patient temperature levels during CPB as directed by the surgeon/anesthesiologist 100% of the time. - Maintains physiological...
