Job Description The Spring Hill GPS Assistant Plant Manager (APM) leads manufacturing operations on a 24-hour, 7-day schedule. The role manages a large team of hourly and salaried employees across multiple shifts and two independent engine programs. The APM has direct responsibility for people leaders in manufacturing operations and for the execution of plant business processes. The APM ensures that production, safety, quality, cost, and engagement objectives are met, and that organizational and divisional goals are achieved. The APM delegates tasks to key area managers in production and technical operations and is accountable for meeting production schedules, employee engagement and inclusion KPIs, and departmental/plant budget targets LEVEL EXPECTATIONS: The APM is a senior manager responsible for overall Spring Hill GPS operations and for shaping plant business strategy. The APM: Serves as the primary operations leader for Area Managers and select individual contributors (e.g., Plant Planner, GMS Coordinator).
