PRN - Inpatient Physical Therapist I - ( 260000ZZ ) Description Position Location: Main Hospital - Inpatient Acute Care Work Hours: PRN - Monday-Friday/Weekends: Responsible for providing physical therapy to a wide spectrum of pediatric disabilities. Must be knowledgeable in therapeutic exercise, normal and abnormal development and orthotics/equipment. Qualifications: Minimum Work Experience: - 1 year - will accept new graduates (Preferred) - Experience working with acute care patients (Preferred) Required Licenses and Certifications: Physical Therapist - Must have DC licensure or be a pending applicant for licensure with the DC Board with signed supervised practice form. (Required) Functional Accountabilities: Evaluation: - Obtain necessary history including previous medical conditions, pertinent family/social information and review of present complaints. - Acknowledge evaluation indications and contraindications and utilize correct evaluation methods - Select appropriate areas to assess, interpret assessment data accurately; re-assess at appropriate intervals - Apply evaluation principles to variety of pediatric disabilities. - Adapt methods when necessary, based on patient’s con...
