Job description

Onboard new hires by providing on-the-job training, re-qualify skills and maintain documentation for annual review of staff. Update onboarding and training material with changes in practices. Ensure consistent and timely communication via huddles, board postings, and email regarding responsibilities, training requirements, safety, etc. Update supervisor daily regarding communication needs, safety concerns or other tasks needing completion. Expected to perform Saint Marys Campus Transporter responsibilities a minimum of 50% of the time. Has direct patient contact and frequent interaction with nurses, radiology techs, desk staff, door attendants, etc. Transport patients, visitors and patient-related items in a safe and efficient manner. Provide detailed verbal communication to appropriate care team member as part of the handoff during drop off and pick up of patients which includes confirming patient identification. Functions independently and as a team member with minimal supervision and possesses knowledge in the use of a smart phone.
