Mechanic Class A - Residence Halls

Job Summary The Mechanic Class A - Residence Halls will be responsible for maintenance services in the university residence halls. Essential Functions: - Maintaining, repairing, and installing plumbing fixtures and hardware, such as: faucets, drains, showers, manual and automatic flushometers, sinks, water closets, urinals, valves, and piping. - Performing general repair tasks, including: ceiling repair, door repair, installing hardware, lamp replacement, and light fixture repair. - Clearing and unclogging drains and repairing leaks. - Reading and interpreting mechanical plans and prints. - Completing daily work order assignments under minimum supervision. - Working at heights greater than 10 feet from ladders, scaffold and lift equipment. - Wearing of respiratory protective equipment (annual pulmonary fit test required). - Performing additional duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: - Minimum of a HS Diploma or GED in or the equivalent combination of education and work experience.
