Job DetailsJob Location: Austin, TX 78701Position Type: SeasonalEducation Level: High School Diploma/GEDJob Shift: Various ShiftsJOB PURPOSE: This position’s primary purpose is to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the areas assigned and provide some work direction to custodial staff. The incumbent is accountable for the completion of assigned duties with a minimum level of supervision. The incumbent interacts positively with various customer/client points of contact and shelter staff and responds to requests personally and effectively. The incumbent must work to ensure exceptional custodial services are maintained at shelter facilities. QualificationsESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrate safe work habits and observe all applicable worker safety practices, including the use of required personal protective equipment. Perform janitorial duties as necessary to meet customer/contract requirements. Operate motorized equipment used for cleaning. Perform other duties as assigned by the Shelter Manager that pertain to the job duties.
