Job description

The Director of Nursing provides leadership, direction, oversight and supervision for the overall clinical operations of the Health Center in accordance with current Federal, State and Local regulations that govern the facility and Standards of Nursing Practice to ensure the highest degree of quality care is provided and maintained at all times. Responsibilities: - Under the direction of the Health Services Administrator, provides leadership and coordination of the Health Center areas / units. - Direct, develop, organize, implement, evaluate the interdisciplinary processes in the Health Center as well as its programs and activities and ensure compliance with applicable legal, regulatory, accreditation and reimbursement guidelines and standards. - Understand current Nursing Processes and Standards of Nursing Practice; effectively communicate to staff the expectation of absolute conformity to the process and standards as defined and apply appropriate accountability measures through coaching, mentoring and application of the progressive discipline process. - In conjunction with the Health Services Administrator, develop the annual Capital and Operating Budgets for the Health Center.
