We are seeking a Manager, Research Engineering with the skills and drive to manage a top performing Engineering team focused on developing the latest in LLM and Machine Learning capabilities. Foundational Research is the dedicated core Machine Learning research division of Thomson Reuters. We are focused on research and development, with a particular focus on advanced algorithms and training techniques for Large Language Models (LLMs). Our focus areas are: As Manager of Research Engineering, you are both a technical leader and a people manager. Key responsibilities include the technical direction of production services, close partnership with technology partners across the enterprise, and responsibility for the recruiting, career growth and mentorship of Foundational Research Engineers. Managers provide technical guidance on medium, yet complex projects in close collaboration with the research arm of Labs.
