Job description
The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic Ultrasound examinations to pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician under the direction of a Radiologist. Performs abdominal, retroperitoneal, OB/GYN, small part scans and ultrasound guided procedures, such as cyst aspirations. Must be able to recognize the difference between normal and abnormal images. Work Schedule: 0.6 FTE - 24 hours weekly - 3 days per week M-F, daytime hours Required Qualifications: RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical sonographer) via ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) - Completion of an accredited two-year allied health program or two years of college with emphasis on the biological sciences and completion of a formal medical Sonography training program (one-year minimum) or equivalent experience - If employment involves OB Clinic rotation, then OB Certification (OB/GYN) via ARDMS required within 180 days of employment. - Current BLS - American Heart Association or BLS - American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider) Preferred Qualifications: At HealthPartners we believe in the power o...
