Join our Relief Team!: As a Relief Counselor, you gain experience while playing a crucial role in supporting individuals facing mental health challenges by helping them live independently and live beyond their perceived limitations. Open Sky's Respite programs are short-term group living environments that provide treatment of intermittent crisis and stabilization for adults who are diagnosed with a mental health and/or substance use disorder. The goal of the Respite program is to work collaboratively with individuals to develop skills to maintain their independence in the community and live a life that is not defined by their mental illness. The Relief Counselor supports individuals to live as independently as possible, while providing evidence-based treatment and care, within a group living environment. Counselors act as strong advocates for individuals served and understand the importance of community integration.
