Job description

Performs routine tests in various areas such as hematology, biochemistry, etc., using standard techniques and equipment. The Medical Laboratory Technician may make qualitative determination of sugar in urine, make blood cell counts, and prepare and mount specimens for microscopic examination. - Productivity - Performs an acceptable productivity level without a significant error rate on sample preparation and assay analysis in order to provide data on the cause, cure, and prevention of diseases, and toward improving health care service quality. - Utilizes time efficiently in an effort to prioritize and organize duties while remaining flexible to meet the needs of laboratory customers.
