Salary/Position Classification: - $25.50 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime) - 20 hours per week - 100% Remote Work Availability: No - Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No Purpose of Position: Dr. David Delene in the Department of Atmospheric Sciences is seeking a post-undergraduate student with an interest in data processing, applied research and atmospheric sciences. This paid internship is intended for people who have completed an undergraduate degree and are interested, or plan to attend graduate school. Duties & Responsibilities: - The person will support mentoring undergraduate students on research projects and assist with preliminary work related to ongoing and upcoming research efforts. - Work may include the following tasks. - Assisting with gathering and organizing data from approved sources (public datasets, sensors, instruments, and/or model outputs). - Assisting with alignment of datasets in time and space when needed. - Assisting with process and analyze of datasets, creating basic plots, and running quality-control checks. - Reviewing created structured datasets. - Reviewing document on datasets and workflows. - This position provides a...
