DC Supervisor - Shipping

Job description

Responsible for directing the daily outbound operations of the shipping/loading department within a distribution center. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Oversee all aspects of the shipping/loading department. Assist in ensuring that the department is compliant with company operations, policies, and procedures on a daily basis. Work with the operations and DC managers to maintain payroll figures, budgeting, productivity, etc. within the departments. Responsible for performing scheduled evaluations on team members. Provide leadership, training, and guidance throughout the department and work to ensure productivity and morale are maintained at a high level. Work with managers to establish annual goals and the plan to follow for accomplishing these goals. Work closely with the human resources supervisor and the operations manager to ensure effective recruiting, hiring, and training practices. Assist the operations and DC managers with planning to prepare annual capital expenditure listing for budgeting purposes.
