Assistant Divisional Controller

Job description

The Divisional Assistant Controller supports the financial operations of the division by ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and compliance activities. This role partners closely with divisional leadership and corporate finance to drive financial performance, support strategic initiatives, and ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company policies - Assist in managing the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis - Partner with divisional leadership to develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans - Analyze financial results and provide insights on trends, risks, and opportunities - Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements (if applicable), and corporate policies - Assist in audit processes (internal and external) and provide required documentation - Review and maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity - Support cost accounting, inventory controls, and operational f...
