Environmental Inspector

Job description

We are currently seeking Environmental Inspectors who will work with Stantec’s Environmental group out of our Petaluma office. The successful candidate will provide field and technical support services on a variety of projects relating to water and waste management, and other environmental programs. Your Key Responsibilities: - Perform and document field data collection activities; assist in the completion of project level work (daily timesheets and work plans, data management, analyze field and technical data, and report preparation) on environmental management projects; - Conduct multi-media sampling (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, wastewater, naturally occurring radioactive materials (NORMs) etc.); - Completion of fieldwork, including documenting site activities, soil and groundwater sampling, soil characterization, monitoring water quality, and discharging water to surface; - Prepare appropriate health and safety documents and participate in client health and safety meetings and adhere to Stantec and our clients’ safety procedures; - Prepare daily summary emails and site diagrams and submit reports to online reporting systems; and - Learn and follow standard operat...
