Senior Data Governance Lead

Overview As a Senior Data Governance Lead, you will work closely with the Data and Analytics Team, and other senior stakeholders across the business to ensure data governance is understood, consistently applied, and embedded into day‑to‑day decision‑making. Responsibilities: - Own and operate the Microsoft Purview environment, including cataloguing, scanning, classifications, glossaries, and lineage. - Provide hands-on configuration, troubleshooting, and optimisation of Purview features and data sources. - Work closely with engineering teams using Microsoft Fabric to ensure governance is embedded within ETL/ELT pipelines. - Define, implement, and continuously improve data governance frameworks, policies, and standards. - Act as a trusted advisor on data governance, data quality, and metadata management across the organisation. - Engage with senior stakeholders to agree data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models. - Support and guide data producers and consumers to improve data quality, usability, and compliance. - Translate governance principles into practical, adoptable processes and tooling. - Contribute to data strategy initiatives in partnership with the Head of Data...
